i was wondering which software is better………………….

I’ve recently purchase some Sims 2 Expansion packs for my game and I have problems running it. I get the “Conflict with emulation software detected” error.

I know it has to do with SecuROM which has something to do with copying softwares and that this could be caused because I have a illegal copy, but I don’t. All are from my personal collection, with the original CD keys.

I don’t have Daemon Tools, Nero, Alcohol 120%, or Clone CD installed. Or any other emulation software that I know of..

I had these installed before and the worked fine..
The Sims 2 Double Deluxe
The Sims 2 University
The Sims 2 Kitchen and Bath

Now I am also installing these which don’t work..
The Sims 2 Apartment Life
The Sims 2 IKEA Home Stuff
The SIms 2 Mansions and Garden

The disk are not boot legged, I paid good money for each any every one of them and I really wish they would WORK! My fiance and I have been reading forums trying to fix this problem but We’ve had no luck.

How can I disable the emulators, bypass the SecuROM crap, or actually.. I don’t really care how it is done as long as I can get them working?

I want to get Better Homes and Gardens Home Designer 7.0 but its about $60…does anyone know a cheaper but good software to use or have used the home designer 7.0?

I’m wondering which of these home design programs are better. Personally I don’t see a difference just price wise.

My 12 yr old son wants to be an arcitect and we have played around with some of the less expensive ($9.99) home design software, but they seem a little hard to get started with. Anyone know if a very simple one to purchase? We were thinking of the Better Homes & Gardens series, maybe find one on e-bay..

I’m looking for a software that is easy to use and very detailed to design my new home with. I’m short on money so AT LEAST $100 or less…

I’ve seen the Home Design Software from Better Homes And Gardens but I dont know if that’s a good program or not.

What is the industry standard program for architecture? Is it still AutoCad? I’m looking for a program that will let me design the interior and exterior of homes, as well as get blueprints from it. Currently I use the Better Homes and Gardens program just to play around with, but I’ve also used Maya and 3DSM, so I do have a grasp on the more “complex” programs. Cost really isn’t an issue! I’m just trying to find the best program available for what I’m trying to do without having to resort to 4 different programs and then mesh it all together! Thanks!!

(Oh and I’m not an architect or interior designer! I’m in web and graphic design!)
