home and garden stores

I bought one of those metal wall plaques that are meant to be hung outdoors for garden decor. I live in a place where we are not allowed to drill holes in the siding, but I see people everywhere with them attached to their homes. I asked around at a home improvement store, but they weren’t very helpful. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to hang it. I can’t use the command hooks with the sticky backing, because it would be too heavy. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I agree that the wall plaque would be too heavy for sticky back. One option would be to install a post or pipe large enough to handle it. You could dig a hole in the ground next to the siding spot you want it displayed at. Add a cross piece large enough to accommodate the plaque. Paint the post to match the siding, and the post will blend in with the siding. Good luck.

i have seen these little tabs that go over the siding and have a hook part to hold things on. they should sell them at hardware stores. my neighbor has one with a square wall hanging on it,so they should be sturdy enough. they come in different sizes to hold all sort of size things without drilling on your siding. hope this helps!

HomeImprovement.com sells hangers just as needed for hanging that on your siding. No holes they just slip over the ridge
